After 10 weeks of regulation football, it is over.
Tomorrow, Friday, night we will know who are the
district champions. United and Alexander will battle
for the district champion.
Also, on Saturday night, we will know who won the
Rivalry Game between Martin and Nixon for this
year. As a added note: All LISD schools will stay
together when they go 4A. Whom ever wins this
game will be top "dog" in LISD football.
As, for tonight, the LBJ Wolves need a must "W" to
stay in contention for the number four place. OOPs,
I forgot so does the Eagles and CC Winn. We will
leave that for top officials to sort it out.
And, for the rest of teams good luck on your last
game. I am sure all gave 100% to the sport of
football.
And, for the Del Rio Rams what can I say. They will
remain as one of the top regardless of United and
Alexander outcome. Good Luck in your playoffs.
And I thank them for supporting us to the "max".
The coaching staff to the players - your are a class
act.
Believe it or not - that is all I have to say this week.

Los Fresnos, Falcons and
Don Davis, Ass't Coach.

Laredo Media Sports looked up
Coach Davis to see what was
happening with the Falcons. We knew he had a
coaching position there sometime ago. We noticed
that the Falcons were heading into the playoffs and
we decided to contact Coach Davis.
Here are his comments on the Falcons.
"I'm at Los Fresnos HS. Coaching offensive line. our
team is currently number three rushing team in the
state of Texas in class 5A, according to MaxPreps.
We play Brownsville Porter on Saturday, which will
be the final regular season game. We are currently
7-2, probably finish 8-2. Will play Harlingen next
Saturday. in first round of playoffs."
What are your stats?
"In nine games we have 2758 yards rushing, our
backs avg 7.39 per carry. We run a spread offense
with heavy Nebraska run influence."
Can you tell us something about your head coach?
"Our head coach is Clint Finley, graduate of Cuero.
He played DB at U. of Nebraska, then some NFL
time with KC Chiefs and Cowboys. He is son of
Victoria East and head coach Mickey Finley."

Falcons and wish him success in the playoffs.

UISD Police Officers for the Seniors Walk of United Panthers
and United Longhorns. Therefore don't blame us for not filming
those two senior walks.
Incident at Shirley Field (Mustangs vs Tigers)
Yes, we did film the incident at Shirley Field after the Nixon vs
Martin Game. However, in following of promoting good
sportsmanship we will not show the video on our Laredo Media
Sports or on any other site. Thanks for your understanding.
Video will be turned over to the proper authorities. And that is
that!
